Class Hmstory Frve of the Class of 1951 began thelr school careers tn klndergarten ot Ravenna Grade School 1n September 1937 These frve were Ioan Ehlers Drck Greenwood Ioyce Iungles Russell Love and Beulah Struble Our freshman year began Wllh the normal frlghtened group of frfty 11V6 gazrng rn awe at the hrgh m1ghty and drstant upper classmen Our OHICGYS were Pres1dent Ioan Ehlers V1cePres1dent Ed Furtak Secretary Babe Carlson and Treasurer Babe Basnett Under the sponsorshrp of Ke1th Lyslnger we held an ICG slcatrng party The gtrls were rnrtlated tnto the Pep Club and that they ll never forget' We returned rn September ot 1948 to attend classes along wlth the Freshmen Iunlors and Senrors ln the Ravenna Crty Audrtorlum Our number decreased to forty srx but as Sophomores our contrdence lncreased under the capable leadershtp of our OHICGYS Presldent Ed Furtalc V1cePres1dent B111 Zrnnel Secretary Anna Belle Larsen Treasurer Lots Bock and Sponsor MISS Fmch We held a treasure hunt and a roller skatlng party Mr Shaffer Our class of forty four elected as 1t s ottrcers Pres1dent Ed Furtak Vrce Presrdent D1ck Greenwood Secretary Babe Basnett and Treasurer Bonnalynne Standage To rarse money for the Iunror Senror Banquet we sold Statronery sponsored a school dance sold at games and presented a play The Perfect ldlot The theme of the banquet was Sprmgtlme We also held a class hayrrde at the begmnmg of the year The Class of 51 returned 1n September 1950 to proceed wlth the events of 1t s long awalted Senlor year Cur trnal class OHICSIS were President Ed Furtak V1cePres1dent Iames Adam Secretary Arlene Retnertson Treasurer Lols Bock and Sponsor Mr Webb We sponsored a school dance 1n lanuary and emoyed a sneak day rn th Sprlng As we leave Ravenna Hlgh School we take our cherlshed memorles to 11ve wrth us as symbols of good fellowshrp and cooperatlon CLASS FLOWER Whzte Rose COLORS Wme and Szlver MOTTO Onward ever, backward never 17 I I ' I I .
