With five capable advisors to guide them, they set to work on class activities. Their first effort, the Black Slack Dance of November 21, was a complete success and encouraged them to work even harder toward their next event, a dance in February. A large percentage of Freshmen have been recognized for their scholastic ability on the Honor roll and Merit list. Their first year left them looking eagerly forward to three more profitable and fun-filled years. This started their second big year in high school. ' The Sophs have sponsored many successful dances during the year. One of these dances was Swing Along With the Sophs which took place in November. Darlene Alberts, and Nancy Frangella repre- 'MW sented the Sophomore Class on the Junior Varsity Cheering Squad. Two boys represented the class l A on the Junior Varsity team. Many of the Sophomores have been on the Root, TREASURER, Baldwin, SECRETARY, Beggs, PRESIDENT, Honor R011 and Merit list during the year. Friday, VICE-PRESIDENT. 29
