'T L FOREWCRD Learn from the past it teaches well wisely improve the present it is thine go forth open the door to the shadowy future without fear and with a manly heart Longfellow In approaching the doorway to the future we do not pause wondertng what hes beyond for the will to obtain higher standards the desire for increased wrs dom and the enthusiasm to keep high that spirit which is R C S shall never fail to guide us We do not fear the future but greet it with inward excitement llere we stand on the threshold of life knowing that the friendships and hibli libhts of these past few years have molded our character and will influence our course One such highlight which vue especially reeall is the standardization of the school rin A handsomely style rin with a circular settinb was selected and is pictured on page one Probably the most momentous occ ision xx as our prom stairway to the Stars Enhanced and starry eyed was the regal pair Sally Williams and Alan Lockwood as they mere crowned on that enchanted night which we ll alw ays remember warmly A not so warm event was the Halloween football game. Despite the frigid weather R-C-S won in a well-deserved victory over Chatham by scoring the only touchdown We have also been successful with our dances drives and other affairs even through double sessions Our graduating class being the first to experience this half-day schedule has appraised its ad- vantabes and disadvantages This book your open door to the past reveals many such m mories of events and friends that they may not be forgotten later 'i if
