lNIarie Rutkiewicz QW QW r4lI7JOZHIf't'l'.' Say. this is a hne group of young men and women we have here. You're Danny Persico, right? Why donlt you, as class president, tell the audience who the others are? Dari: Certainly. We have Harry Miller, vice-presidentg Ellen Winn, class accountant, Maria Rutlaiewicz, secretary, and the two student council repre- sentatives. Eva Hamlin and Dot Hansen. Azzzzozzzzcvrs How do you do? I imagine your senior year was quite a busy one. Dan, will you tell us briefly about your class? Dan: The first big eyent I recall was the dreamy Freshman Christmas Ball. After that carrie the usual class activities until 'Iune made the thoughts of graduation paramount in our minds. We were the first combined class to graduate from Coeymans under the co-operative plan. That sophomore year in Ravena. under the orqicership of Ezio Tozzi, Harry Miller, Margie Hansen and Joe Blicozzi was quite a get-acquainted yearg but young as we were, we managed to make our square dance and Shindig the talk of the town. When we returned as juniors with Harry Miller as our president, Willie Lee Lips- comb at his right hand, Ellen Winn to handle the finance and Margie Hansen to jot down the niinutes, the class really began to go places. We could still boast of profitable square dances, but even more important was the rightful pride we could take in our beautiful prom, Apple Blossom Ball. It netted us quite a profit, as well. Then we were seniors, rulers of the roost, planning and scraping for the Wlashington trip. The ham and turkey suppers delighted many a palate and the Cowbell Jamboree and Carnival set many a pair of feet dancing. Wie certainly put on a number of bake sales-but nothing was as important to us as our VVashington trip. Boy, it will long be remembered! The publishing of this yearbook and graduation ended our high school careers, liappy and wonderful ones for us all. E Harry lNIillar Dan Pcrsieo Ellen Winn Eva Hamlin Page Five
