UNICR HIGH Activity and excitement on our first day at 'lunior High caused Illlllill buzzing about among the seventh graders. Passing to classes was ai new experieneeg and as me gradually ht-came accustomed to junior High life, we found many class activities to keep us busy. As adult eighth graders. with noses turned up at Nliiflsu who were just going through the mill. we returned in September ol' 43. Our soc-ial ealendar sported at niekel hourg and when try-outs for the Class play were announced. is e were an anxiously excited bunch, each secretly hoping to get the coveted part. And weren't we proud when we won the EH banner for Cleanup efforts! With the coming of June. there were our first REGENTS-Boys. weren,t we seared! l l lt wasn't long before we showed our school mates that we were no slouelies: taking seeond prize in the ticket selling eontest at Hallowe'en. we brought to light our peppy,' ability: and for proving ourselves athletieally tops.', we eapped out intramural haskethall season with a trip to Hackett junior High. YYC left il gay and eolorful impression that night of graduation when we presented the operetta. 'gThe Band YN'agon. Parting, we elasped our fingers solemnly on our diplomas. .
