SIDNEY A. NIXON President Greetings to the Yearbook Staff and Student Body: The school yearbook is a pictorial review of the high points of a school year. To get pictures and the necessary information to go with them is no small task. Layouts require imagination and precise planning. Deadlines have to be met. Ail of this calls for much teamwork— perhaps even more than would be necessary on an athletic field. The quality of your book is a recorded testimony of teamwork par excellence, and bespeaks the quality and cooperation so characteristic of all organizations of Raton High. Congratulations. W. H. Foster W. H FOSTER Superintendent of Schools C. E. WILLIAMS Raton High School Principal Annual Staff: There are many kinds of success in life worth having. It is interesting and attractive to be a successful business man, a farmer, a railway man, a doctor or a hunter. But to achieve the ultimate in interest and enjoyment one should be a happy and useful member of his home, his school, his community and his country. All other forms of success are encompassed in the above achievements. C. E. Williams Principal MRS. ZUBER Secretary C. B. SWEENEY Business Manager HARRY E. 'Dramatic Club To study acting, to act, to learn to enjoy acting” is the purpose which has meant continuous activity for the Mask and Wig Club since its organization in 1934. One of the main achievements besides actual stage experience, is the knowledge gained of the groundwork, behind the scenes, necessary, for the production of a play. Membership is open to interested sophomores, juniors and seniors. This year the club has fifty members. Election of officers is held once each semester with only seniors eligible for the presidency. Meetings are held regularly on the fourth Monday night of each school month.
