The Varsity baseball team ended its season with a winning record. Its final re- cord was 10-9. This above .500 record was caused by Ray Guida, Ed DiLaurenzio, Dave Toth, T. J. 0'Donnell and Danny Keppler. When it came time to name the MVP, it came out to be a tie between Ray Guida, who played first base and pitcher, and Ed DiLaurenzio, who played shortstop and pitcher. They both led their team to a good record with their offensive and de- fensive power. The team had a lot of good defense which included Dave Toth, the catcher. There were two freshmen that were added to the team during mid-season. Their names are Dave Devane and Rob Gregov. First Gregov was called up to play first base when Ray Guida pitched. Then a little later in the season Devane- got the call and played a solid defense. I-le also added an extra surge of offense when the team need it. Coach Karlik's outlook on the upcom- ing season is that with all the talent the team has, they should be very competi- tive.
