CROSS COUNTRY Our Cross Country Team runs these country roads you've heard so much about. Conditioning and practicing consumes more time than we realize, but those long hours of hard rood work really pay off. Our team showed a lot better than pretty good for their first year. Pan- ther runners won their first four track meets with Charles Thomas being unbeaten in all five. Bill Taylor and John Summers usually traded second and third places, while Bronson Jenkins, Bobby Foster, and Tom Taylor rounded out the team. Bobby Titchenell was also a valuable and faithful runner. And mustn't a few words be said about our great coach, John Toth, who ran track and cross country in college, started the team and started some- thing really great' BILL TAYLOR, a member of the Old Hollow Team puts his heart into it. CHARLIE THOMAS, our consistent First Place Runner nears the finish line. JOHN SUMMERS, trucks on at Randolph Macon Academy. CHARLIE leaves 'em far behind.
