JV’s Have Rewarding Season The 1977-78 J.V. Raiders under Coach Richard Jones finished the season with a 6-10 overall record. The Raiders had only one starter returning from the second place district team of last year. Most of the Raider games were very close and most were lost in the fourth quarter. Highlight games for the Raiders were a 44-40 win over King William and a 48-46 win over the second place W L Eagles. The Raiders were led by Anthony Sumiel with 154 points and followed by Teddy Fallin with 105 points. Returning players for the Raiders are: Anthony Sumiel, Sammy Bryant, Joe Taylor, Jack Walker, Darryl Levere, Timmy Harper, Tony Farish, and Rob Wilson. Players going up to the Varsity team are: Teddy Fallin, Myron Arthur, Reggie Shelton, and Greg Pitman. Fosing only four players to the varsity team.
