Vocational school opens in fall of '68 The newest addition to Rapid City High School was the Black Hills Area Vocational Technic al School located at the new high school. Approximately 200 students attended, some of which were post high school students. Students attended for three hours in the morning or afternoon. Classes ranged from auto mechanics to licensed practical nursing which started in January. Other classes were auto body repair, electronics, and welding. Some of the courses required students to take theGeneral Aptitude Test Battery. William Oerlline is the supervisor of vocational and adult education.
