Taking a quick break from their rushed work, the cafeteria staff is eating part of the lunch which they prepared. Each has done a commendable job in giving the students a substantial diet and in teaching them the basic foods for good health. Records, files, registration, and attendance keep this staff busy throughout the year. They are, left to right, Betty Wilcox, June Wethor, Marjorie Jensen, and Marian Sanders. Any student who has been absent from school be- cause of illness must receive an O.K. from the nurse's office before entering class. Left to right are: Mrs. Armstrong and Mrs. Tracy. -1-.1- unit Everyone wonders what the officer of the parking lot, Ben Thorpe, does in that little white building during the day. By looking at the parking lot we know what he does because strict planning and efficiency are needed for the ever increasing number of C2iI'S. What Would We Do Without Them? lt was 8:00 in the morning. a typical day at R.C.H.S. The cooks were beginning to put the finishing touches on the noon lunches. Sandwiches and soup were being made. The parking lot was beginning to accumulate cars and motor scooters. Students were coming into the offices to get ab- sence and excuse slips and to check on the days activities. The custodians were already making their rounds, cleaning and dusting. This behind- the-scenes activity goes on even into the night: cooks, janitors, officers, and office clerks arrive early the next day to start in again. Cleanliness is an important problem in any organizaa tion and RCHS is no exception. Our custodial staff, however, meets the problem with great success. It would be interesting to know how many acres of floors they sweep and polish each year. as ... t ta
