Our Principal As principal, Mr. Haskins, has been tho1'ough- ly competent and skillful in the administra- tion. He has been friend, counselor, arbiter, and companion-guide to everyone of us. Con tacts with him were made with increasing re- spect, and close associations have brought fine friendships. He stands firm in his convictions, a model and a leader we all admire. Witli ' three years of guidance under his skilled hand and with him as an ideal any student emerg- ing fl'0ll1 Rapid City High School should feel that his high school background has been coin- plete. Our School Nurse During our high school days the person who has safeguarded our health diligently with understand- ing and sympathy is our school nurse, Miss Black. Feeling the responsibility and necessity of skill- fully guiding our health welfare she has become an inseparable part of our school. The students have grown to know her ability and re- spect her advice and council. Her talks and instructions to the students concerning problems of health and sanitation have been very valuable, preventing many serious illnesses. To Miss Black this graduating class wishes to extend thanks for the help and interest she has given us.

Qur Superintendent Superintendent Bergquist has meant much to students graduating from high school. His un- tiring eH'orts have always been directed for the best interests of the school and the stu- dents. These efforts not only have served to promote the school, but have placed his name among the outstanding educators of the north- west. He has generated respect from every- one of us and his interest in our activities and scholastics have caused our increased respect and liking for him as an individual as well as an educator. X ' l f .J Cnr Assistant Principal and Dean of Girls ' In Miss Welsh's first year in Rapid City High School as Assistant Principal and Dean of Girls her chief interests have been in the welfare of the students both as individuals and as members of the student body. VV ith this thought uppermost in her mind she has helped new students as well as others in meeting their problems. During the year in personal conference and group meetings Miss Welsh has kept in touch with student life and activities in order that she may more fully understand them, and has represented them before the Administration, the Faculty, and other organizations which bear on the high school.
