DECEMBER The Grades Present Santa's Workshop Christmas Eve is near and Santa Claus has a very bad case of sititis. 1. Mrs. Claus reads a letter to Santa from a student. 2. Acrobats are called in to try and cheer Santa up. It didn't work, Santa stayed put. 3. Curing a bad case of sititis is very hard to do. A group of young elves try singing Christmas carols. 4. Frustrated Mrs. Claus sent out all the elves to bring people to the South Pole in hopes that they would cure Santa's sititis. 5. Here sits Santa with a bad case of sititis. 23

DECEMBER All German Program Is Successful People from Hutchison, Great Bend, Ness City, Wakeeney, Trego Center, Hays, and Ransom all came out to see the German students present a program; all in German. Some said it was the first German program they’d heard since leaving Germany. 1. THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS set the crowd roll- ing, when a human-sized mouse, lo Kenworthy, chased screaming Momma, Kathy Lutters, onto the bed. 2. As the Shepherds, Dirk Smith, Kent Schneider, and Tim Lutters, warm themsleves at the fire, they think of the Christ child the Angel told them about. 3. Director Delvin Strecker teaches the girls German Christ- mas carols. 4. A shining star leads kings and shepherds to the stall where baby Jesus was bom. 5. The finale was an exhib- ition of various German folk dances. 22

The Yearbook Royalty Dance was held on December 13, 1975, starting at 8:00 P.M. and ending at 11:00 P.M. Mrs. Crosswhite announced the King and Queen which were Tim Schrag and Bernice Flax. Christmas decora- tions were put up, and cupcakes and punch were served as refresh- ments. Yearbook staff brought records to dance to. 1. King, Tim Schrag, and Queen, Bernice Flax. 2. First attendants, Dirk Smith and Tami Zordel. 3. Second attendants, Randy Wyman and Darlene Cromwell. 24
