OCTOBER 8. 5. Pep assemblies occur before every game Friday and are important in raising the spirit for the big game. They’re also a lot of fun! 6. Could 1 ever use some Gato- rade now!! 7. Steve Shklar, new head football coach, has complete attention as he goes over the play. 8. Jo Kenworthy practices her serves for volleyball. 9. The school board lets the bids for the new shop building. 10. The Ransom Longhorn band provided half-time entertain- ment at the football games. 11. Bernice Flax is surprised by the cameraman. 12. OCTOBER All Work to Win 1. Go! Team. Go! Yelling is an imponant part of the game. 2. These boys are hard at work at football practice. They had 3 hard 2-hour practices and 1 light one per week. 3. Girls also work hard during the volleyball season. 4. Warming up is important before a game. l. 16

 % NOVEMBER Parents Night November 5 1. The Longhorn Band is a reg- ular feature of football games. It provides half-time entertainment and peppy music. The marching band program was Nostalgia. 2. Randy Wyman, a tail-back in action. 3. The pre-game huddle: Let's Go! Beat’emGuys! Fight! WIN! 4. Richard Flax escorts his par- ents off the field during the pre- game festivities. 5. The proud parents are patiently waiting for their names to be announced.
