Mrs. Edith Linn Retires After 44 Years After graduating from Nebraska State College, Mrs. Linn began her teaching career at Sumner, Nebraska. in 1929 and continued there for two years. Other places taught were Skelton. Nebraska, 2 yrs.; Sut- ton . Nebraska, 2 yrs.; Pawnee City, Nebraska, 3 yrs.; Brack, Nebras- ka, 2 yrs.; and Johnson. Nebraska, 2 yrs. Mrs. Linn then taught in Ness City , Kansas for 19 years. The Linns then moved to Maryland where Mrs. Linn spent two years substitute teaching in Montgomery County Schools. In 1971 the Linns moved back to Ness City and Mrs. Linn started teaching here where she taught until retirement. Mrs. Linn's plans for the future are to help her husband in his in- surance and real estate office. She also plans to prusue the hobby of reading, traveling every chance she gets, and doing as little house- work as possible. JANEL PAHLS DARRELL RUBOTTOM ARLENE RUES Home Ec. Social Science Vocal DOUG SPILLMAN DONALD STORER Physical Education Math Mr. Steve Hoch . the junior and senior high shop instructor, has been teaching here for two years. This year he and his students have been working with plastics. Left, he, along with his 8th grade class, displays some of the various ob- jects they have made out of plastic this year. Mr. Hoch is also the Industrial Arts Club sponsor. He has both his B • S. and M. S. de- grees in Industrial Arts. 7

NUTTLE Science That's one way to grow hair, Mr. Kenworthy. After graduating from Fort Hays State College in 1972 . Miss Janel Pahls became our home economics teacher. She also sponsors Kayettes and coaches volleyball. Her hobbies are horseback riding, vol- leyball , reading, sewing. handcrafts and ice skat- ing, but she also enjoys her teaching career. The students particularly enjoyed crocheting Right, Ruth Bauer shows Miss Pahls the baby outfit she has made for her niece. Honesti The devil made me do it, Mr. Crabtree. 6
