This LONGHORN has been designed to meet these requirements. The theme of the Longhorn is reflection. This is illustrated by our opening pages, dividing pages, and most of all by our cover. The staff hopes you will enjoy reading about the joyful times and many thoughtful moments that have been included in this picture story of the past school year. We hope that you opened this book with a great deal of anticipation and that when you close it, you will have reaped a profit of renewed memories from the days of the old Red, Black, and White. The color scheme was red and white accented with blue. Red roses in bud vases served as centerpieces for the tables. A three-tiered, shelled fountain and Roman pillars de- corated with streamers of roses provided a romantic at- mosphere. Dinner, served by the sophomores, featured glazed ham, green beans with slivered almonds, cherry appe- tizer and ended with ice cream slices topped with a de- licate rose. The Green River Ordinance provided music to swing to through the hours. At the stroke of midnight, an evening to remember ended. A new experience awaits all seniors as they leave RHS - many will further their ed- ucation at colleges and trade schools; some will take on their first full-time job; some will go into the service; and some may marry soon - but all will have benefited from their high school ex- perience. Memories of RHS will linger as we take our place in the adult world. May this book help to bring back those memories.
