The Flight Control stations, through the use of radios, sound powered phones, remote indicators and status boards, enable the Air Boss, CDR Bill Nealon fat leftj, to maintain control of all aircraft whether on deck or in the immediate vicinity of the carrier. The Air Office handles all correspondence and assists the Air Boss in the administration of the Air Department. During air operations, CDR Nealon is in the tower located above the flight deck.
