Looking over my shoulder Through the mist on the path of the past I see times that all of us have shared to- gether. Times were dim. shadows were cast We would walk, talk, laugh, cry, party, and play together. Telling all our secrets Watching everyone smile Being there to hold on to when one of us was down. Those times ended so very long ago But those times will come again one day. We all have grown up and apart But I'll never forget all the special mo- ments and crazy times all of us shared. Those memories linger on in my heart I thank all of you for being such true friends and for helping me through the roughest times of my life. Renee Elizabeth Philbrick Nay Softball 2 Saying ... Love and friendship shared with others must come from our hearts.” Heather Mary Polland Pollock MIRROR IMAGE As I look at her She looks sad and lonely. I turn away. She stands by herself. There's no friends to ease her pain. I've known her all my life. I always know how she feels. When she's happy or sad. That she cries When no one's around. That she does this To ease the pain of life. I know all this. Though we've never spoken. As I turn back. A tear rolls down her cheek. I want to wrap my arms around her. And tell her it's okay. The only thing that holds me back Is the glass of the mirror. Heather Polland 13
