For too many years, the devoted service provided by Jerry (48 years) and Saul (24 years) has been taken for granted by the students and athletes of RLRS. We have had many administrators, teachers and coaches during our 13 years of school but it has been Jerry and Saul, day in and day out (approximately 4500 times) who have gotten us there and back safely. From that first day of Kindergarten in September, 1974 to our last day in June 1987, they have shared in our cheers of victory and our tears of near victory. While we slept on those return trips from places like Jackman, Isles Boro, and Waynflete, Jerry and Saul have delivered us home over the worst conceivable roads. It is fitting that we refer to the busses they drive as Jerry's bus or Saul's bus. When we rush to catch the right ride home after school, it is the men behind the wheel who reassure us. For all those times we forgot to say thank you, we do so now with this dedication to Jerry Brackett and Saul Collins. 4 Section Page § Baby Pictures 6 Seniors 7 Personals 16 Likes Dislikes 17 Superlatives 18 Class Will and Prophecy 20 Collage 21 Underclassmen 22 Faculty 26 Alumni 28 5 6 KAREN ARSENAULT Cousin to Cousin We're from the same shoot, the same family tree. Into this world we sprouted, call it destiny! It's cousin to cousin, a special thing, a closeness to which we re tied, and you've always been there to laugh with me or even when I've cried. Anyway, I think it's fantastic that you were meant to be, A part of my life, my cousin, you'll always be special to me! Thanks to my family for their love and sup- port during my exciting, matur- ing high school years. I've final- ly made it! 1 love you all!! POLLY A. Meanwhile, make a good life for yourselves, and don’t forget about the good times we've shared together NICOLE QUINN DAVENPORT FOOTPRINTS I To Dream Of The Person You Would Like To Be Is To Waste The Person You Are . .. One night a man had a dream. He dreamed that he was walking along the beach with the lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot- prints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he ques- tioned the Lord about it. Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have no- ticed that during the most troublesome times of my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.” The Lord replied, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you. Rangeley, ME. 47 MEMORIAL LOVING MEMORIES Your gentle face and patient smile With sadness we recall You had a kindly word for each And died beloved by all. The voice is mute and stilled the heart. That loved us well and true, Ah, bitter was the trial to part From one so good as you. You are not forgotten loved one Nor will you ever be, As long as life and memory last We will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore. As time goes by we miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face. No one can Fill your vacant place. 9
