We realize how hard it was to handle us, but she was able to keep us under control, and actually able to get us to work together. The “Green Wave compiled an 8-4-3 record, placed IOth in Western Class C rankings, and suffered a heartbreaking loss to Carrabec in the first round of the playoffs. 4th year Seniors Kevin MeGarvey, midfielder and Joe Raymond, fullback, provided able leadership while Steven Lowell, Lance Paradis, and Stillman Lowell helped to bolster the solid defense. Senior Rob Rowe set a school record scoring twenty goals during the season. Sophomore striker Mike Rowe had a fine season scoring 13 goals and assisting on 13 others. They were only able to place 6th in the standings. They needed to place 5th to be in the tournament and defend their State Championship. The Lakers will only be losing two members, Co. Capt. and four year starter, Lori Searles along with Co. Capt. Eloise Bates. Rangeley boys beat Greenville this year by 26 points. Lia White, an eighth grader, tied for the girls' meet skimeister. The Ski Team will only be losing two Seniors this year, Kevin McGarvey and Rob Rowe. We would like to congratulate the RLRS Ski Team for their fantastic victory in The States. Arlene will replace Mrs. Verrill as the Home Economics teacher. Nancy will teach Student Council what school spirit really means by becoming the permanent President. Catie will write her own Harlequin Romance novel. Steven will become the new addition to Saul Collins and Son Bottled Gas. Stillman will star in the movie Psycho 111. Kevin wil be given the Playboy of the year award by popular vote. John will some day pilot the U.S. Space Shuttle. Lance will become the new voice for Walt Disney’s Donald Duck. Sara will be the first to break the speed of sound with a Chevette. Joe will be hired to drive on the Rangeley route for the Anheuser Busch Company. Robert will become the 46th President of the U.S. and show us how to really run a country. Lori will replace Celise Laverty as the Rangeley girls basketball coach. Deann will become the first Airline Stewardess for Steve Beans Flight Service. Gary will become the new host of American Bandstand. Corey will become the personal mechanic of the U.S. President.
