There were positive points to be made during the season such as being in every game until the final buzzer and flirting with the tournament most of the season. We’ll lose only two seniors this year, Capt. Judy Bean and Patty Frost. Both will be missed greatly, not only for their fine playing ability but also for their excellent team spirit. We will have five underclassmen who will be return- ing and we look for great things from them in the future seasons. We would also like to thank our scorekeeper for the year — Lisa Roth. .Jet; on J hoti d3oy 3 'IJardity i adLetLad 1980-81 Kneeling: D. Johnson. E. Anderson. J. Lowell, B. Brackett. D. Kennedy. The team got along well together and had good sportsmanship, but even so, they only ended up with three wins and 13 losses. They are hoping for a good year next season, despite the loss of five seniors: Captain Dick Collins, Nicky Clark. Ricky Clark, David Johnson and Bruce Johnson. The team will be missing its five seniors next year. They are: (Alpine) Captain, David Johnson: (Nordic) Captain. Ricky Clark: Jeff Paradis; Ann Winterhalder; and Russell House. 42 RANGELEY FOODLAND. The 1979-80 Baseball team fielded 20 players and was the second year of the three year plan to bring the Class “C” and East-West league title to Rangeley. The season was disappointing in the won-lost column, however, some stellar performances from junior standouts — David Johnson. MVP Russell House and most improved, first year player David Dumas, made the year worthwhile. How do you spell relief? B A-S-E-B-A-L-L It's Gone!
