Q I This has been a very eventful school year. In the field of entertainment, we now have Jazz Combo. This is fine - except for the fact that no one yet has heard them play anything. Good luck in the futurel We also gained a fine Drill Team. This fine group has performed many times. Their exhibitions have always been successful - except when faced by a large crowd at the tournament! We believe that they were also of monetary value - many people came to see the drill team perform. As most people in the town and RHS already know, the plans for the new school build ing were voted down in a special town meeting this winter. This Year, plans for tearing down the present elementary school building and building a new one on the same site are going to be submitted at town meeting. A new building across the way which would complement our own good-looking structure and relieve us of the sixth grade, is greatly to be desired. Classes have been graduating from Rangeley High School since 1907. This past year a great deal of interest has been shown in a Rangeley High School Alumni Association, and in an effort to bring this project to fnrition, certain data concerning our graduates have become available. The following predictions for the 1959 graduates are made for the year 2000, based upon what has happened to all students who have graduated from RHS during the past half century. Only three members of the present class of twelve are likely to be living in Rangeley in the year 2000. Four will be living in other areas of Maine, while of the remaining five probably two will live in Massachusetts, one each in Connecticut, New York, and New Hampshire. The total number of graduates is 640, 271 boys and 369 girls. Sixteen girls and 19 boys have passed away. Graduates remaining in Rangeley number 164. Graduates living in other parts of Maine number 190. The remainder are residing in 31 other states and two foreign countries. Nine are in the service overseas.
