24 GALLOPING GHOST CLASS HISTORY In September 1954, the class of 1958 embarked upon its tour of duty at Randolph High School. We started our high school careers with a bang, by plunging into varied and numerous activities. Our first encounter with high school life was at the Freshman Reception. In February our Civics class journeyed to Montpelier where they visited the Capitol and Legislature and met the Governor. That same month we put on our first Valentine Social. Our carnival play Miggles proved exciting as it was our first attempt at a play. At the end of the year we had our annual picnic with our advisors Miss French and Mr. Gaidys. Our first duty as Sophomores was to welcome the incoming freshmen. T Our Carnival Play, The Perfect Gentleman won us second place. This was very exciting since this was only our second experience. 1' 'The biggest moment of the year arrived when the L. G. Balfour representative came to take our order for the class rings. At the close of school we said good-bye to the old building and looked forward to entering the new school in the fall.
