This made an average of 53.9 for the Rams and 45.6 for the opponents. The Senior girls, Arlis Bergsten, Joyce Malmstrom, and Alyce Wohler, were co-captains for the season. Johnson, Raburn Hagenmaier David Brenner, Delbert Woodworth, Jim Brooks, Warren Carnahan, Fourth Row, Bobby Leach, Larry Henry, Harold Strauss, Donald White, Wiley Beals, Gerald Strauss Siefifzff The 1950-51 football season was not very successful in terms of wins and losses, but it was very successful in terms of sportsmanship, attitudes, and Wesley Glenn enthusiasm. The Ramblers lost 6 games and won 2. The Reserves played 2 games and won both of them. There were 25 boys out for football, 2 of whom were seniors. Harry Hargrave started the season, but unfortunately had to quit because of a knee injury. Jim Brooks was elected captain for the year. Warren Carnahan was the Ram- bler manager. The football squad is losing 2 seniors, Jim Brooks and David Brenner. The Ramblers ended the season with a smashing defeat of Leonardville, the score being 31-18. Randolph Randolph-O Randolph-2 '. UW? QKAWZQAI The Ramblers saved their fighting spirit for the county tournament whichwas held at Leonardville on February 15 - 16. The Ramblers came home with the 2nd place honors. This led them to the district tournament at Wakefield, February 27-28 and March 1-2, where they defeated their ancient foe, Riley, by one point. By beating St. Xavier and losing to Wakefield they received second place. The boys journeyed to Junction City on March 6th to the regional tournament where t d b St Geor e they were defea e y . g . The Ramblers kept up the fight through the season and determind to be win ners next year. The entire basketball squad consisted of 36 members.
