At the beginning of the school year thirteen of these sopho- mores welcomed Roger Area, transferred from Olsburg, to the ranks of the sopho- more class. The sophomore class is well represented in athletics. Five boys partici- pated in football, seven boys and six girls in basketball. Five sophomore girls contributed to the band this year. A class party was given the 16th of October. The sophomore class enjoyed a party given by Mrs. Eddy and Mr. Frickey, our class sponsors, the 18th of Decem- er. It is safe to say that the sophomore class of '53 will rise to even greater heights of achievement than they have hitherto. May they look and remember with pride the class of which they were once a part. On September 12, Shirley Rowland came into the class asanother green fresh- man.
