FROM THE RUGGED RANDOLPH RO-HAWKS It was a combination of cold, wind, rain, and uncanny speed that brought the end to the Ro-Hawks' fantastic season as Plano's Wildcats downed the proud Hawks 27-8 at Baylor Stadium in Waco. The lone score for the Ro-Hawks came in the first half by Tex Allshouse on a quarterback sneak. Although the Ro-Hawks were leading at half-time, the Wildcats broke on long runs in the second half as the fierce Hawk defenders slipped and splattered on the rain drenched field and were unable to recover. The conditions hampered the Ro-Hawks fine style of football as never before but the gallant and great Randolph team fell without shame and with a tremendously victorious season to remember.
