RO-HAWKS DOWN KOUNTZE TO REACH STATE FINALS The powerful Randolph Ro-Hawks defeated the gallant Kountze Lions 14-7 on a cold and windy night on Kyle Field at Texas AXLM University in College Station. It was a tough, hard-fought game, but the Ro-Hawks came through by stopping the Lion's in the air and on the ground, As usual, the defense was superb with the offense using ball control tactics all through the game and into the final minutes, The first Randolph score came when Bruce Cannon made the clearing block to free Tom Roberdeau for a 32 yard run. The second score came after the Ro-Hawk defense caused the Lion to fumble. James Meredith made the final touchdown on a 24 yard run and Tex Allshouse passed to Andy Miller for the conversion.
