RO-HAWKS WALLOP BOERNE GREYHOUNDS The Ro-Hawks chalked up another district win by crushing the Greyhounds of Boerne by a modest score of 38-0. Jim Meredith was the games leading rusher with 90 yards. He started the scoring for the Hawks on a 7 yard scamper. Others who contri- buted in the scoring category were Tex Allshouse, Ted Draper, who caught two long bombs from Steve Sweeny of 73 yards anc 36 yards, and sophomore Paul Baumgardner. The defense, which literally smashed the Greyhounds, was led by linebackers Rick Troberman, and Bruce Cannon, guards Chris I-lansmen and Mike Fitzpatrick, and tackle Jimmy Fleming. Tex Allshouse makes evasive cut as heave action takes place on the line. Eh. Allshouse rears around corner behind block- ing of Chris Hanseman. RO-HAWKS CLAW THE SOUTHSIDE CARDINALS The Ro-Hawks rambled over the Southside Cardinals for their second district win, 44-2. The Cardinals only score came on a isafety. The scoring was led by Tex Allshouse, starting quarterback, and Steve Swinney, substitute. Allshouse scored on two runs of 58 and 24 yards, Terry Fox and Tom Roberdeau added the conversions. Steve Swinney passed three scores to fullback James Meredith, end Steve Griem, and starting end Ted Draper. Draper also scored by recovering a fumble in the end Zone. P l The Ro-Hawk defense was again superb as guard Mike Fitzpatrick, linebacker Bruce Cannon, and Rick Troberman, and end Ted Draper led the surge allowing no Cardinal touchdowns. RO-HAWKS SWAMP SOUTHWEST DRAGONS The Randolph Ro-Hawks stood in a class of their own as they demolished the Southwest Dragons 85-O, which was a new scoring record for the Ro-Hawks. Quarterback Tex Allshouse scored one touchdown and passed for three more, to wingback Tom Bice end Ted Draper, and end Andy Miller, Miller also intercepted a pass and raced for a score, Substitute tailback Paul Baum- gardner scored three times, twice on 33 and 60 yard runs and once on an interception. Defensive end Keith Chauret and line- backer Bruce Cannon intercepted and ran back Dragon passes to score, and defensive guard Mike Fitzpatrick scored on a blocked kick to make Rando1ph's defense tally almost as much as its offense. Wingback Jim Meredith added one touchdown and one conversion, tailback Tom Roberdeau three conversions, and substitute quarterback Steve Swinney one conversion.
