Sixth Row: Mr. Alpers. Cory Ber-mel. Sherilyn Haselhorst. Brad Sauser. and Mike Riedmiller. Mr. Alpers stayed busy keeping the band in order. He has been band instructor here for the past four years. His plans for next year are to attend the University of South Dakota to earn his Masters Degree. The Randolph Instrumental Music Department had a very busy and successful year. The Cardinal Marching Band performed at halftime during football games, and marched in the La Vitsef Parade in Norfolk and the Harvest of Harmony Parade in Grand Island. The Randolph Pep Band had performed at twenty - two athletic events including NENAC. Districts, and Boys State Basketball Tournaments. The Symphonic Band has made many appearances including Veterans Day. Chrismas Concert. Music In Our Schools Month Concert, Spring Concert. and Graduation. This year the Symphonic Band received a Superior rating at District III Music Contest. This was the first superior that the band has earned since 1983. Sandi Kollars again was accepted into the MENC Clinic All - State Honor Band. Tyler Osborn was accepted to the Platte Campus Honor Band Festival, Tyler Osborn, Missy Coenen. and Pam Gubbels were accepted to the Kearney State Honor Band Festival, and Sandi Kollars, Tyler Osborn, Missy Coenen, Pam Gubbels, Michelle Coenen. and Holly Heegle were accepted to the Wayne State Honor Band Festival.
