ACTING INNOCENT “Don’t Drink the Water” was the play performed by the Drama Club for a one act play. It was given last year as a three act play but was rewritten for one act contest. At the NENAC One Act Play Contest held on December 3rd at Plainview, Robbie Burgel was awarded with a medal for best supporting actor for the performance of his role as chef in the play “Don’t Drink the Water.” Front Row: Tom Biernbaum, Brian Tunink, Kelly Gerkins, Robbie Burgel, Missy Coe-nen, Christy Carpenter, Scott Ahlman. rHA-THE SECRET CE The FHA had a busy schedule this year. They started out with the initiation of the freshmen in September. They also attended the District Convention held in Stanton. In January, the following medals were given for SEARCH participants on their presentation: Patti Milander-Promoting FHA-gold, Missy Coenen and Heidi Heegle-Food and Nutrition-silver, Sally Burmester-Families and Futures-silver, and Stephanie Brunssen-Clothing and Textiles-silver. The Parliamentary Procedure team received a gold. They sponsored many functions to help raise money for the state qualifers and the new officers pay for their trip to Lincoln, such as cake raffels, bake sales, candy sales, and a talent show, in which many people participated. The new officers are President-Staci Nordhues, Vice President-Marcy Reineke, Secretary Treasurer- Stephanie Brunssen, Historian-Sally Bur-mester, Reporter-LeAnn Rhode, Parlimen-tarian-Valerie McDonald. At State Convention Patti Milander received a silver medal, Missy Coenen made the Families and Futures PEP Squad Team, and Sally Burmester became the District Parlimentarian. On May 4th they held a FHA Banquet for the induction of the new officers. Robbie gives his interpretation of poetry.
