Our Student Council Representatives were Gunnar Veire and Yvonne Haugland, the two for-iegn exchange students. Everybody was excited about meeting these two special friends from Norway. On May 9 the juniors provided us with the prom “A Night on the Town” and elected Jay Taylor as King. As graduation came closer, we ordered our announcements and selected royal blue and silver as our class colors and the white rose as our flower. The graduating class of 1987 was known to be different than most classes because we have students with a wide variety of interest and hobbies and we’re proud of that trait. As we leave high school and enter the “real world” we’ll follow the message of our class motto: ’WE CANNOT CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF THE WIND, BUT WE CAN ADJUST OUR SAILS TO ALWAYS REACH OUR DESTINATION.’ 14 CLASS HISTORY
