King Mark and Queen Cheryl Queen Cheryl Berner and King Mark Preston. Class Attendants: Juniors - Caryl Preston and Mitchell Borst, Sophomores -Julie Carstens and Kirby Meyer, Freshmen - Ann Nannen and Kelly Thelen. King and Queen candidates were announced at half-time of the football game. The 1983 Homecoming Royalty was crowned October 7, following a victorious football game against Creighton. Mark Preston was crowned King and Cheryl Berner was crowned Queen. Mark is the son of Doug and Ruth Preston. He likes sports and being with friends. Film at Eleven and Tractorz are his favorite music groups. He likes James Bond movies and dislikes ... Creighton. His favorite TV show is Johnny Carson and his favorite car is the Mark VI. Mark has competed in track and football and served as a football captain this year. He is a member of National Honor Society and is vice-president of the senior class. Cheryl is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Berner. She likes being with friends and helping others. She dislikes people who talk about others behind their backs. Her favorite car is the Firebird. Her favorite TV show is Dynasty and her favorite movie is An Officer and a Gentleman”. Cheryl has been treasurer, assistant editor, and editor of the Annual Staff and vice-president of National Honor Society. She is the Student Council president this year.
