Before we know it, it will be May; When we all say good-bye and go our separate way! The last 13 years have been great; times to remember; even our first date! v 11 When school is over and every one’s gone; We’ll look back at the days; When we did some things wrong! The good die young, we’ve often heard, spoken frequently in scorn, But it is in the act of death in which we are reborn. For thought it’s seldom we’re prepared, to look death in the eye, But there’s no place in which to hide when it comes our turn to die. So worry not your saddened hearts, nor try to find the reason, But live each day as though the last for death has not a season. R. L. This year’s Jr. High FHA chose the title “Teen Angels”. The President of the club is Kristie Borst, V. President is Ann Sauser. and Sec. Treasurer is Ann Nannen. They had many exciting activities this year including Spirit Week in Sept., treats at the Nursing Home in Oct.. Christmas Party and Caroling in Dec., Roller skating in Jan., a dance in March, an egg hunt in April for the Pre-school, also a hayride that turned into a dance afterward, and a dance with classes in May. FHA started the year off by getting better acquainted with the new members. At the beginning of the year, they set for themselves three main goals. They are: personal improvement, community and school involvement, and preparation for adulthood. They adopted grandparents from the Colonial Manor, had a soup supper, a faculty breakfast, attended a district convention, and had a Christmas party and gift exchange. That was in 1982. In 1983, they co-sponsored the Sweetheart Ball and had a Business Man’s Coffee for FHA week. They also added something special to the school lunches by giving the students a special treat that week. They also had a guest speaker, Cammy Van Seggren, their old state officer, and they attended a Tom Sullivan Concert in Wayne. They learned a lot about the past and will benefit from it in the future. 55 FFA - educating PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE TEAM. Bill Schmit. Everyone in high school uses the library at sometime in his or her high school years. Some check out books for the pleasure of reading, some use the books for research assignments, or in exploring their future careers. Books aren’t the only thing the library has to offer. There is audio-visual equipment ready for immediate use. There is a large supply of magazines old and new. The library is always well-lighted. comfortable, and quiet. They act as counselors, examples, conscience, friends, and of course; teachers. Our teachers and faculty have helped unlock many doors we would not have dared attempt. They have opened the doors of discovery; discovery of ourselves, our future careers, future goals as well as present goals. Our relationships with others are also affected and enlightened by their presence in our school years. They go through many trials we will never understand or experience. Much work is put in when we are not around, work that is sometimes unappreciated or unrewarded. For these reasons as well as countless others we will always be grateful, even if we fail to say so. Thanks faculty, we couldn’t have made it this far without you! Judy Devine’s picture may be found on page 29. 79 We get the job done YEARBOOK STAFF. Rhonda May and Jackie Gubbels are all smiles as they work at the concession stand. Dawn Gerkins is working hard to see that the Yearbook cover is done right. Joan Olson is practicing her sketching so our Yearbook cover will be the best! The Yearbook Staff has been working hard to get the yearbook finished correctly and on time. They have held Cake Raffles and worked the Concession Stand to raise money. Cindy, Donna and Peggy Dawn - Cover desi| w A LA WORTH rvntlSMINT. company makckline miuov
