FHA CREED We are the FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA. We face the future with warm courage and high hopes. For we have the clear consciousness of seeking old and precious values. For we are the builders of homes: Homes for America’s future. Homes where living will be the expression of everything that is good and fair. Our Senior High advisor, Mrs. Dorothy Jensen, upper left, kept busy this year with the members in FHA and teaching Home Ec. 10-12 and Bachelor Living. Miss Karen Stirler not only served as the JH FHA advisor, but also taught Science and Home Ec. at the Junior High. Winner of Family Leader of Tomorrow among RHS Seniors and winner of Honorable Mention from the state of Nebraska is Marla Sellon. 21

The band, QUAZY, played for the evening’s entertainment. The candidates foi king were seniors Rick Back er, Dan Bach, Jim Loberg, and Brad Bargstadt. Running for junior attendants were Byron Menke and Kent Daws. For sophomore attendants Ed Huwaldt and Kevin Haselhorst were chosen. Sponsors for the dance for the night from the FFA and F1IA were Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Stevens, Mrs. Lynette Janssen, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tunink, Dan Backer, Kevin Janssen, and Gary Janssen. Queen candidates were Darlene Janssen and Kristi Tunink. Junior queen attendants were Julie Hel-sing and Tami Gubbels. For sophomore attendants, Theresa Seyl and Joanie Gubbels were chosen. The King and Queen were crowned by the 1975-76 Queen Julie Bargstadt and King Gary Backer. The 1976-77 Queen was given a heart shaped necklace from the FFA and the King was given a keychain from the FI1A. The Royal Throne was Joanie Gubbels, Julie Hel-sing, Queen Darlene Janssen, King Rick Backer, Kent Daws, and Kevin Haselhorst. 23
