Their record stood with five wins and one loss. The Cards only defeat went to Coleridge, who were the Co-Champs. Everyone underestimated the Cards by looking at the line-up's light weight average, but the team made up for it with its speed and agility. The team had four boys chosen for the All-Conference Team; Joe Hansen, Bob Hansen, Dwayne Meier, and Loren Winkelbauer. Steve Heese was chosen Honorable Mention to the team. As the play unfolds our hero Mervin Tucker tries to escape his girlfriend, his friends, and some Chinese bullies by coming to his Aunt’s house. There he runs into an old friend, Ronald who tries to help Mervin out of his predicament. Towards the end of the play, Mervin makes up with his girlfriend, finds Ronald a bride and ends the side splitting comedy. The cast consisted of the following: Cheryl Beltz, Peg Hokamp, Debbie Schnoor, Betty Loberg, Darlyn Hansen, Lynn Dowling, Ricky Young, Steve Hesse, Vicki Kruegar, and Donna Bauer.
