These are some of the many complaints of the students which the Council members discuss with the faculty, Remember our beautiful Homecoming? That was the work of the Student Council. Remember when you scurried around to get your locker cleaned before one of the members of the Council came around to inspect it? This, too, was a big project of the Student Council. The proceeds of the pro- jects they sponsored bought a punch bowl which is to be used by the entire school. Yes, the Student Council is a very vital part of the oper- ation of our high school, because through it the teacher and the student can obtain a better understanding of one another.

Members are chosen on the basis of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Impressive inductions are held twice a year to induct new members. Old members get the same thrill, when they come around the auditorium to tag the new members, that they received when they were the ones who were being tagged. These students must realize their grave respon- sibility in keeping high standards, and serve as a beacon to draw others into desiring membership by meeting the requirements of the organization. Ken Durst, President
