SENIGR CLASS OFFICERS Left to right: GENE RISER, Presidentg CAROLE CARLES, Treasurer, MARCIA WARE, Secretary: BOB JONES, Vice President, We remember when we first entered high school in the year 1949. Our triumphs and troubles then were small ones compared to those we have experienced this yearg but from Freshman perspective nothing could ever be more important! Not only our special doings but our regular money-making projects took on an added significance because we looked at them through Freshman eyes! By the time we were Sophomores we had gained a little in CONFIDENCE, and we needed it, for our subjects and our jobs were both tougher. We ,leamed things every day. We remember the ordeal of selecting our rings and our class pennant, those things which are symbols of our class as a club, as a unit. They meant a great deal to us, and still do. Last year we began to learn the meaning of RESPONSIBILITY. We did many things for the first time, handling concessions at games, giving a big dance, producing a play, and making extensive plans for making money. We learned to work together for a common cause, We remember more than anything the responsibilities we took upon our shoulders, and what an odd feeling of independence it gave us. Experience has been called the best teacher. It is gained by doing things oneself. That is what we are getting now, We have newer responsibilities, increased confidence to carry them, and we are fast acquiring EXPERIENCE in many fields. The good times we have had here may be far surpassed by what the future holds for us, but what we have experienced here will live in our minds, hearts, and memories.
