In Appreciation to George Gootblatt Throughout the years, our class has held a reputation of vitality. enthusiasm and unity. We have suffered through the good and the bad, dissent and agreement, chaos and harmony. But the accom- plishments far outnumber any failures. Growing together, and at times growing apart, we have begun to assess ourselves and our values. Many people have worked to achieve, not material success. but values of unity and coherence. One person instrumental to the class achievements was our advisor, George Gootblatt. His energy and enthusiasm helped spur the class on to a phenomenal financial success. His wry humor and comic antics, known throughout the school, were often responsible for keeping morale up. Behind the scenes, Mr. Goot- blatt did much of the nitpicking, mundane and monotonous work necessary for success. This last year, he was joined by Corine Fooshkill, who donated her time and effort to many senior year projects. Although both our advisors may be proud of us, the class is prouder of them and their service. Therefore. we give them our heartfelt thanks for their tireless efforts. Senior Class Officers SUE WHILDIN - President Four years ago, when I took the job of class advisor, I was not aware of how much work it would be. I now know. I also did not anticipate the amount of assistance that so many of you have provided in so many activities. I hoped, then, that we would have an active class, but you turned out to be the most active and enthusiastic class that I can remember at Randolph. We had our disagreements and our arguments, but I think that as a result, we have all learned to be more tolerant and understanding. I know that I have thor- oughly enjoyed working with you people and will always remember the best selling drive, two spirit contest wins in three years, the most fantastic and enjoyable carnival this school has had, a great powder puff win and a delicious pie: some wonderful gym nights and dances and most of all, the pleasure of hav- ing worked with a group of students Randolph has a right to be proud of. I will miss all of you and I hope that all your dreams of a better world and a better life can come true. George Gootblatt P.S. Remember not to take everything for granite !
