Charlotte County Board of Sducatlon The Charlotte County Board of Education meets monthly to de- cide many matters in regard to the operation of schools. These prominent men and women, well versed in the problems of school students, prove their wisdom and understanding many times in solv- ing and eliminating worries. The board is composed of citizens holding varied positions in Charlotte County. Mr. Jackson, the chairman of the board, is a mer- chant in Wylliesburg, Bacon district. Mr. Maloney is a farmer in Madison district. Mr. McGhee, superintendent of schools, is also clerk of the board. Mr. Chamberlayne, president of the Bank of Phenix, represents Central district. Mr. Sublett from Midway district is en- gaged in farming. Mr. Lyle is a merchant in Keysville, Walton dis- trict. Last but not least is Mrs. Barksdale, a housewife from Roanoke district. I4

Organizing the new courses of study, arranging schedules, communicating over the inter-com system, and settling our problems fill Mr. Nolen's school day and often require many overtime hours. l 6
