Stuggling to cope with the change in the drinking age to 21 and new ABC regulations required innovative programming to keep students on campus , as well as to encourage men to attend R-MWC’s events. To aid with these adjust- ments R-MWC welcomed Theresa Carroll, the Dean of Students’ Director of Student Activities, with open arms. It was a history making Fall in that it was the first time a dell party was not B.Y.O.B. Entrance to the dell was controlled, beer was sold to those of age only in the pines, and the skellar held a cookout in the dell. Though it was a battle at first, students eventually became used to the idea. Bands of 1987-88 included AAE, Heinsohn Day, The Producers, and N’est Pas, among others. The most notable event that included a semi-formal dinner, a moonlight dance in Bell Quad, a concert, and a dell party. The Fall also included a Bahamas mixer with a cruise for two given away, and the ‘Real Men Want Cl ass...Macon the Place to Find It’ boxer shorts. Spring brought with it a new SAB including seven new board members, movies in the student center, more interaction with neighboring colleges and an exciting Spring Formal. There were many things that were done well and many things that could have been done differently. There have been three fellow students that have helped inmeasurably. First, Mari Yamagiwa, her expertise as a photographer has made this book a more complete survey of R-M life. Secondly, Kirsten Renz, she worked hard to ensure students were represented in the best possible light. And finally, Mary Lou Horner who managed the finances. Their contribution has been greatly appreciated. I would like to thank the Dean of Students’ Office for their direction, in particular Dean Sisson, Peggy Hoovler and Theresa Carroll. I would also like to thank my family. Being editor has been a lot of work, sometimes thankless, sometimes exhausting, but always very rewarding. — Rebecca Wale Editor SS er Ri et en II REET Nn a ae — —— RE me RP OT we ReneS Se eek ACAI 9 A he AO EE AT ai AES een TROT SCR ORR ela BP ONE OR nares DENS RT NACE DASE TUT PCAN NRE EOC A LO Rs OO ARETE EEDA SARMIEL DEP EDL ARNE A LOE ALIA ELEC ERLE A SIONAL AS LLE READE SAAS LOLA CO
