Their election into the club is based on grades, participation in school activities, personality, and leadership ability. The main purpose of the club is to help in community functions. The club also sponsors the Homecoming Dance each fall, at which the Homecoming Queen and attendants are crowned. The club also has a banquet in the spring where senior members and the officers for the coming year are honored. National Honor Society Being inducted into the National Honor Society is one ofthe greatest honors a high school student can attain. This honor not only represents outstanding excellence in Scholarship, but also in Service, Leadership, and Character. As in the past the Randolph Chapter ofthe National Honor Society continues to serve the student body of Randolph by offering tutoring to any student. To aid the community and to further mental Health, our chapter canvasses for donations to aid the Cattaraugus County Mental Health Association. These are just two of the activities which represent the ideals of the Society, which is founded on service to School and Community. erry Wadsworth, Ka1hiO'NeilI, Bonnie Visker, Carla Weaver, John Lynch. Fund-raising events included an Egg Sale, a Bake Sale, and the Biannual Candy Bar Sale. Enough money was raised for thirty-eight members of the club to go on an overnight Ski Trip to Greek Peak, which is located near Cortland, New York. Chaperones for the trip were Mr. and Mrs. Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. Gane, and Mr. Pl-ano. 72 Eight members of the RCS Spanish Club spent S ' h b Easter week in Mexicyo. Monetarily, the dance made the Guild's future a little bit brighter. 85 The Nut Factory The Nut Factory takes place in a half-way house for the emotionally disturbed. ln order to receive the money willed to the McNutt sisters by grandmother Emma, they have to meet up to the terms. Their number of patients is under the minimum quota and their psychiatrist is missing. There was fun and laughter when Chris McNutt persuaded her boyfriend, Barry, to put on a false beard, intern's jacket and pose as their missing psychiatrist, while Karen McNutt pretended to be the missing patient. While the play was definitely a comedy, it provided a real and meaningful look into dealing with disturbed young people. Seated: Row 1 : Jeanine Shields, Carla Weaver, Sharon Stone.
