DEDICATIO Mrs. Elizabeth Charles Dear Mrs. Charles, The Senior Class of 1961 Wishes to express its appreciation to you for all the help you have given us over the past six yearsg for all the time you have spent and the work you have done in promoting our class projects. Since our first year of Junior High, you have shouldered most of the burden of guiding our classg and with your help we have come successfully through our high school years. We earned the money for our Washington trip which was the climax to our Senior year. Words alone cannot express our gratitude to you for all you have done, and so we have chosen the way We thought most appropri- ate which is to dedicate this year's Hilltop to you. For all this, Mrs. Charles, We extend our most sincere thanks. Very gratefully yours, The Senior Class of 1961

FCJREWO RD Remember the first day we came back to school last fall? Everyone was glad to be back in the swing of things but still we all dreaded the days of routine ahead. Then, after everyone had greeted old friends and been as- signed to new classes, it was time to settle down to another year of school. ' First came the nightly homework assignments - how could anyone forget them? Then suddenly we were in the midst of the football season and although every Saturday afternoon seemed to be either windy or rainy the Randolph fans could be seen down on the R.C.S. field, cheering their hearts out for our boys. Autumn turned to winter and the sports, basketball and wrestling. Again, the Randolph fans turned out to support their teams throughout one of the most successful seasons Randolph has had in several years. Mingled with all this were the Junior and Senior Plays, numerous record hops, ,and a wonderful, whirl- wind, Christmas season. Then came midyear exams and we had half the year behind us. All of a sudden it was spring and baseball season was here. Along with this came spring vacation and the long-awaited Sen- ior trip to Washington. Finally June came in view and just in the nick of time, when we had lost all hope of ever making it through this school year. Students were cramming for final exams and everyone was mak- ing plans for summer vacations. Then at last it came-prom time and graduation. As the confusion and excitement of Commencement ended we looked back over another wonderful year, and one we will always remember. KDG
