The award was presented to the Randolph for her outstand- ing safety record and her commendable efforts in pre- venting aircraft accidents. Vice Admiral F. W. Mc- Mahon, Commander Air Force, U. S. Atlantic Fleet, arrives at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, to present the Randolph with the 1955 Battle Efficiency E.
