We respect and admire them The Foreign Language Department at R.H.S. is under the direction of Mr. J.W. Hines. Foreign Language plays avery important role in today's education and we are very fortunate to have this department head. Even when we forget our nasals' and use the wrong accent, Mr. Hines patiently corrects us. Heading the English Department are six very capable teachers. Mr. Tracy McCarthy, Miss Ruby Gray, Mrs. Lucile Newlin, Mr. Frank Stegall, and Mrs. Patricia Rich teach the regular English classes. This year we are participating in an experimental English program. This new class, Humanities, is very capably led by Mrs. Dorothy Carter. MRS. DOROTHY CARTER MR. TRACY McCARTHY MR. J. W. HINES French bulletin boards add much to the enjoyment of the class. 20
