MR, HAROLD DAVIS Principal Behind the scenes of every successful, well-run school, there is a backbone of very dedicated people. These people have pledged their lives to the enriching of the minds of youth. They give their time freely and are always ready to help. The office is the important nucleus of the school, for it is from here the school is run. With Mr. Harold Davis atthe head as principal, Mr. Joe Brook- shire as assistant principal, as well as teaching, and Mrs. Shirley Bishop, secretary, our school is operated efficiently and progresses smoothly. MR. JOE BROOKSHIRE Assistant Principal MRS. SHIRLEY BISHOP Secretary 18 : ; ; MR. A. A. WALL We look to the future with pride because of them The Guidance Department at R.H.S. plays a very important part in the lives of the students. It is through the work of Mr. A.A. Wall, our guidance counselor, that we decide our future course in life. The library also plays a very importantrole in the activities of the students at R.H.S. Under the leader- ship of Mrs. Jean Swiggett, the library has made much progressthis year. The students owe her much for making available such a nice place for studying. Ue EG Mrs. Jean Swiggett has made many improvements in the library this year. 19 EEE We respect and admire them The Foreign Language Department at R.H.S. is under the direction of Mr. J.W. Hines. Foreign Language plays avery important role in today's education and we are very fortunate to have this department head. Even when we forget our nasals' and use the wrong accent, Mr. Hines patiently corrects us. Heading the English Department are six very capable teachers. Mr. Tracy McCarthy, Miss Ruby Gray, Mrs. Lucile Newlin, Mr. Frank Stegall, and Mrs. Patricia Rich teach the regular English classes. This year we are participating in an experimental English program. This new class, Humanities, is very capably led by Mrs. Dorothy Carter. MRS. DOROTHY CARTER MR. TRACY McCARTHY MR. J. W. This is shown by an outstanding record obtained by the Tigers in football, basketball, golf, track, and baseball. But the outstanding record doesn't count near as much as the building of character, sportsmanship, and getting along with fellow players. It is through the sports at Randleman High School that our student body builds its character, the character that we are all so proud to possess. at || |) | 61 The Swingers Nolan Lewallen shows our golf team the proper putt. We owe much to Hunter Publishing and their staff for the expert work they did on the publishing of our annual. To Mrs. D. E. Walker, Hunter'sLayout Artist and Mr. Ed Goldston, their Area Consultant, go our thanks for their many hours of patience with us. Thanks also go to Rev. and Mrs. Harry G. Long, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ear] Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Wade Harris for the use of their homes for pictures. Without the many hours of work put in by our student photographer, Gary Hinshaw, our annual pictures would not have been made. Also thanks go to Mr. Wayne Pickere] and Mr. Claude Gentry of School Pictures, Inc. And most important, our thanks go to the entire student body, without them the 1967 Rendezvous would not be possible. We cannot sit still, We cannot be idle, Tomorrow the bugle sounds— And the world will turn to us. What will we say? What will we do? We must be ready, The challenge is too great to pass on. 144 Our hearts are willing and ready But our hands--are they too unsteady For a task as great as this? We cannot fail? We cannot miss! And Now the World is ours For the Future cannot wait— Oh God! Please make us do our best To find our joy in restlessness! — aa = Oe vy oe by - i ri) ie | nf iy (Aly rp ke ate a aa : ‘ RS ayae it, : 4 Y Pine WS , on Pei mv = PY. weak. ae RANDOLPH COUNTY PUBLIC ee ; 4 il NT M ye Sellar, M | naroy ai — UNTER PUBLISHING GOAAPAM Ai Univers woot
