Students are fast realizing that these two fields of study are the most promising for a successful career. The study of languages, whether it be English, French, or Latin, gives the student more power to learn by giving him the basic tool with which to work, —the ability to read and write. MR. JOSEPH HINES Foreign language students learn, not only to read, but also to write and speak in the language they are studying.

MR. M. C. HOWELL Home Economics and Agriculture Departments Home Economic and Agriculture students learn skills that will be of great value to them in their future lives as homemakers and farmers. These two departments of study are perhaps the most popular, for students see that these give knowledge that will always prove practical in everyday life. The agricultural students do many things to improve our school and its appearance, including replanting the front lawn. 24
