paem TOMORROW We consider the present, Dwell thoughtfully on the past, And anxiously ponder the future. Soon we shall walk solemnly Down these corridors for the last time. Then the door of Reality will be flung open, And Tomorrow will no longer await us Behind closed doors. For twelve short years we have lived here, We have been protected by guiding hands. Soon it will be past, And we must go on, alone. No longer shall we have these guiding hands To go before us and smooth the way, Or push the briars aside As we walk by. Today we see things dimly, As a shadow Cast upon a restless sea. Tomorrow we shall be able to see more clearly Through unprejudiced eyes. We shall become accustomed to rocky roads And thorns which sting the flesh. Tomorrow must be molded and made By our own aspirations. Tomorrow We must be ready.
