This production was acclaimed by many as the best play given in our school in many years. The scene is set in Brooklyn where two old maids are killing elderly gentlemen our ofthe kindness of their hearts. All ends well as they join their brother Teddy at the Happy Dale Institution. The choir has made various personal appearances, in- cluding a performance at the New Jersey State Teachers Convention in Atlantic City. With the coming ot the Christ- mas season the choir presented two programs: one at the evening Carols by Candlelight service and the other for the school Christmas assembly. The remainder ot the year was devoted to the musical programs presented at the school, including the spring mu- sical and the band concert. 89 EARNEST HILBERT CHOIR DIRECTOR Red Oak Miss Whittle, Advisor Mary Cosaboom, Editor ' RED OAK STAFF FIRST ROW: R. Under the leadership of its captains, John Biesiaola and Tom Schiller, and its coach, Mr. Hoagland, the varsity has been undefeated in twelve meets. The Junior Varsity was also undefeated. Although the Cross-Country Team has a few outstanding members, itssuccess is not due to any one person, but to the combined eHforts of the whole team. They have shown a wonderful spirit, and we hope the-y will continue to be as successful in the coming years. 102 CRGSS-COUNTRY SCORES THEY WE Trenfon ..... .... 3 1 27 Morresfown .... .... 3 9 31 Edgewood . . . . . . . 56 Edgewood . . . .... 62 19 Polmyro .......... .... 6 4 Woodrow Wilson . . . .... 33 24 George School . . . .... 58 15 Edgewood ..... .... 4 5 19 Woodbury ...................... 34 21 MT. The win and lose column does not show that most ot the contests were decided in the final moments to play. The one very bright spot in the season was the winning ot a trophy in the Christmas lnvitation Tournament. Gary Baker had an extremely tine year.
