As a coach, teacher, and guidance director, Mr. Gordon has helped and guided us through, perhaps, the four most important years of our lives. His efforts and ideas have been an inspiration to all of us, and his friendship and guidance have imprinted an indelible mark in our hearts and in our story. We are glad that Mr. Gordon could be part of this, our story. 5 IN MEMORIAM 'N 'QR 1 A ' YVC, the class of 1959, regret with deep sorrow the passing of our classmate Helen Barclay. Helen was very active in the school and social aflnairs of Mount Holly High. She was a devoted friend and was surely a part of us. We reserve this space in our Story as a tribute to Helen, whorn we all respected and very much admired. ZW if ADMIN ISTRATIGN BOARD OF EDUCATIO SEATED, Left to Right: Mr. Robert C. UPERI TE DE T We, the Class of 1959, express our deep appreciation to Mr. Frederick W. Evans, Superintendent of Schools, for his help and interest in our class which has been the first to enjoy the new facilities of the high school. Both Mr. Evans and the members of the Board of Education have worked fervently to provide us with the best education possible. 8 Our story would not be complete without Mr. Leo Cantelope, our assistant principal. His handling of disciplinary problems has made students respect him. His helpfulness and con- sideration for the students is unsurpassed. We, the class of '59, sincerely thank Mr. Wcnrich for the guidance and understanding he has shown us during the com- posing and completion of our story. His friendliness and in- terest in the success of each one of us is truly appreciated by all. , '5- rK ,ei 1' .-'Y ALICE AMES, A.B., M.A. Elmira College, University of Pennsylvania Spanish FRANCIS F. Adventurous in the respect that it provided many new experiences which will help us as citizens of the future. Before arriving at our nation's capital we enjoyed a tour of splendid Naval Academy at Annapolis. While in Washington we were elated with theisight of the Capitol Building, White House, Washington Monument, Bureau of Printing and Engraving, and the Lincoln Memorial. The views of Mount Vernon, former home of George Washington have also been instilled upon our memories. We, the Class of '59, will always remember the experiences, both enjoyable and educational, for many years to come. 1 52 ,4 UN DERCLAS SMEN v 1.-ws-syn-K W-f nf-- N FROSH SDPHOMORE A K gy PARTY DANCE L, A , y J UN NOR N PLAY W A .A President L Horner I zce President, Markowskig Secretary, B. Every year the freshman class is entertained by a party. This year dancing to popular music was enjoyed, and the Hmultiplicationn dance added to the variety thereof. The main purpose of the freshman party is to make acquaintances with fellow classmates, who come from many different towns. The party was well worthwhile to the progress of the freshman class. 66 TIVITIES AC 47 044' ,ii- Q Q' -i if 0 ff? Q 0 Q 5' 'Z GREETINGS FROM N ORWAY -. Our instrumental department this year is divided into three divisionsg the junior band and orchestra which works hard to take over the Vacant places that will be left by the seniors: the orchestra which can be heard at assemblies and evening perform- ances: and the band which adds much gaiety to our pep-rallies and assemblies, The band also sponsored many activities throughout the year, such as the Band Concert. and The Spring Musical. This year they were host to the South Jersey Regional Con- cert. YVQ were fortunate to have three outstanding representatives to this concert. They were John Jones, Jim Mathews, and Jeff Cliver. Next to be re- membered is the grand performances made during halftime at our football games. This year our hand was lead by a drum majorette. Sally Jennings and two lieutenants. Jane Silber and Joan Alexander. Marion Heller and Judy Baxter, the librarians. have put in many hours of hard work making it possible for things to be run smoothly. Our instrumental department has been larger this year than ever before. Mi'. Welsh, our eapahle in- structor, has done much to make our hand and or- chestra outstanding in Burlington County. We Imit- enjoyed their music for it has contributed much to our school spirit. FIRST ROPV: Nelson, S. Jennings, M. Heller. SECOND ROW: A. lligginhothani, N. Gilbert, Mr, Welch, adviserg M.
