Susan Haefner.Asst.Ed1tor. and Ton1Darl ngton o lqditor Today is Made for You was the theme of the 1977 yearbook. The EL SOL staff members chose this theme to represent this year. The members worked on pages they received at the beginning of each deadline. They must draw layouts, write copy, captions, and head- lines, and pick pictures to form the design of each page. During the beginning of the year each mem- ber sells ads and sponsorships to pay for the color in the yearbook. This year the editors decided on a four color cover and four color endsheets, which was the first in Rancho's his- tory. I find a challenge in every assignment given to me. My duty is to go to an event and capture a moment in time, which can never be created again. Then if a person opens the EL SOL, let's say 50 years from now they think to themselves 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' Photog- raphy is an art, and I'm privileged to say that I'm part of it, stated Martin Snytsheuvel, pho- tographer. Staff Members: Front Row: Donna Searles, Karen Eicher, Lori Forsberg, Two: Ianis Iungblut, and Edna Garcia. Row Three: Doe Girling.
